What a super, great weekend!! Thank-You to everyone who sent cards and wishes by several different media. It is greatly appreciated. There are several photos posted here because Sunday, July 14, was not only Bastille Day, but did I say? It was also our 30th Anniversary. Now for the next 30!!!!
But do enjoy these photos and think about the excitement we had while these were being taken. Thank-You Robin for absolutely, the greatest 30 years I have ever had. Now …. On with the show.
Sunday started with a Brunch at Le Cafe de Paris in Boise. The day ended with dinner at Chandler’s Steakhouse and Seafood. Both meals were delicious. Left-Click any of these photos to see enlarged.
30 great years and it shows!
Robin made this when she was in second grade. She wanted to throw it out about a month ago. I told her I would take care of it. I had it framed for her and now it hangs in our living room.
Thank-You Marnie and Mac for the brunch at Le Cafe de Paris.
The Carrot Cake Marnie made for us. Yum!
Robin had a delicious quiche for brunch.
I had a ham and asparagus omelet. Le Cafe de Paris makes awesome omelets.
Mac had a French Dip and French Onion soup. Well …. it is a French restaurant.
Marnie had a fried egg croissant.
Now for dinner and Chandler’s Steakhouse and Seafood.
The centerpiece on our table.
ESCARGOT À LA CAROL
Organically grown Burgundian snails marinated with fennel, garlic, shallots, and parsley baked with garlic butter browned with Asiago cheese
Robin started with these. They smelled sooooo good!
THE BLACK ORCHID
Sashimi grade ahi tuna seared rare; sliced and served with the signature “Black Orchid” mustard sauce.
I had this as an opener. Wonderful!
This famous cut of tenderloin is known for it’s fine texture and delicate flavor.
This was Robin’s choice for dinner.
ONO – WAHOO
Fresh Hawaiian line-caught Ono grilled and finished with a lemon butter dill sauce, served with citrus-zested jasmine rice with thinly sliced Fava beans and shiitake mushrooms.
This was great! I loved that rice.
Chocolate Lava Cake
This was absolutely wonderful. Thank-You Chandler’s for this dessert. We appreciate it.
