Another awesome four days at the Snake River Rv park. We arrived on Thursday, September 5 and returned home on September 9. Very stormy on Thursday night – heavy rain and some wind. I understand that Nampa got hit really hard with high winds and large hail. Some farmers are suffering a loss of produce. And then it cleared off and the weather was cool and very clear. The evening sunsets were awesome and I have some photos here of the sunsets.
Good food and friends. We were there with the Birds of Prey Good Sam Club, which was a lot of fun and it was good to talk to the folks and interact with them. A good meal or two is always a great way to get to know the folks. We did not go hungry! Lots of frood and you will see some here.
Gina did another great job in organizing the Craft Fair, which this year included some awesome food booths, including the Cacicia’s Old World Sicilian Foods. I have also added some more businesses in the sidebar. New place for finding RV parts and maintenance in Marsing, Idaho. Welders, food trucks and artists. Enjoy these photos and Left-Click any of them to see them enlarged. Cheers!!
But wait. Can’t be all fun and excitement. One must also eat. Here is what we had. Enjoy!
Here is some of their history taken directly from their website.
Entri Come Amici, Vada Come Famiglia
Cacicia’s (Kah-She-Shuhs) is the passion of Shane & Michelle Anderson and family. Shane began his love of cooking early as a child in his grandmother’s kitchen. A strong and talented woman, his grandmother Nonna taught him the secrets of authentic Sicilian family recipes that have been passed down for over a hundred years. Nonna would cook for the whole family and penned her own cookbook in the early 50′s. In honor of her and their heritage, Shane carries on the tradition and a dream. A dream to focus on innovation and creating the healthiest and highest quality food fare by marrying amazing family recipes with a forward thinking model on how to share delicious food and create a unique dining experience. Shane and Michelle proudly support and work with local growers and Idaho businesses, building a sustainable model for a new culture of unbelievably fresh and flavorful home cooked meals from our beautiful truck.
Sicilian family sizes are larger than typical and anyone familiar with the culture knows we can eat! So our portions are BIG and our prices are GREAT! Let us share our family’s tradition of cooking delicious, fresh and colorful food for the people we love. Look for our food truck Rosalina at your neighborhood Farmer’s Markets or locate us at any day we are set up with our Google Map Locator and Directions!
