Yes. The day finally arrived. Clear and cool for the first day of Autumn. Warm and cuddly with the friends and family that were there. Marnie and Mac – You did a fantastic job in coordinating all of this for the past month or so. And that Carrot Caramel Cake that you made Marnie was terrific. Thank you both so very much. It is greatly appreciated. Here Patrick Myhre sends a Salute to Robin for her 70 years. Thanks, Patrick. (Left-Click any of these photos to see enlarged.)
Some of the following photos are mine and are marked as such. The others belong to Bonnie Nees, who drove in from Montana, and Russ Terrell. I have some of these marked wrong but have tried to correct that in the footnotes of the photos. If you see any that are still wrong, please let me know.
The 45 or so people who were there hopefully had a great time. There was plenty of food. For example, Marnie’s cake, Michael Runsvold baker at the Acme Bake Shop for Sourdough Bowls and awesome goat cheese from Karen Evans and the Rollingstone Chevre. Other folks brought salads, cheese plates and much, much more. And the music throughout the night was provided by Ken Harris – keyboard – and Carmel Crock, Vocals. Great sounds!!!
So there you are. A great week with a lot of travel and fun and eat. Thanks to Wayne and Nancy for coming all the way from Lakeland, Florida. Dorothy Emerence who came in from Washington. Robin’s brother Brian who came from Washington and Robin’s sister Carlynne who came in from Delaware. That’s five out of the 45 or so people who were there. And the local businesses, Acme Bake Shop, Ken Harris and Carmel Cock for their music and Rollingstone Chevre for the awesome goat cheese plate. And again, to Marnie and Mac who put this all together. You two are great! Chris and Maddy for taking care of the bar. Thank-You, Thank-You, Thank-You!
