03Oct2013_1a_Mark-Urban-Candlelite_CloudsOn the evening of October 3, 2013, a candle light vigil was held at 19th and Jefferson Streets, Boise, to celebrate the life and service of Smoke Jumper Mark Urban who lived in the neighborhood. The evening was windy and cold, but the crowd was warm and friendly. There were about 100 plus people who attended this memorial. Some from the neighborhood. Some were Smoke Jumpers and Firefighters, who risk their lives to protect our wild lands. It was really great to see so many people at this celebration.
